The refurbishment of Unit 3 at Chester Gates Business Park has been successfully completed, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Woodfellows. The project, spanning an impressive 46,556 square feet, was completed in just 12 weeks, showcasing the dedication and efficiency of the entire team.

External Enhancements

The refurbishment included a series of significant external improvements:

  • Roof Enhancements: The cut edge on the roof was expertly restored, ensuring long-term durability.

  • New Skylights: Installation of new skylights to enhance natural lighting within the warehouse.

  • Gutter Liners: Application of Temadur 20 by Tikkurila to gutter liners for enhanced protection against the elements.

  • Cladding Repairs: Comprehensive repairs to the building's cladding and curtain walling, restoring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

  • Line Marking: Updated line markings for improved traffic flow and safety around the site.

  • Groundwork Repairs: Extensive groundwork repairs were carried out. This included breaking out and re-laying sections of the internal floor slab that were severely oil-damaged, ensuring a safe and stable foundation.

Internal Upgrades

Internally, the unit received a complete makeover:

  • New LED Lighting: State-of-the-art LED lighting installed throughout the warehouse for improved energy efficiency and better illumination.

  • Full Decoration: Complete decoration of the warehouse walls, liner panels on the roof and walls, and the structural frame, providing a clean and modern look.

  • Floor Slab Renovation: The warehouse floor slab was ground down and painted, giving it a durable and polished finish.

  • WC Renovations: The washrooms were fully renovated with new decorations and flooring finishes, ensuring they meet modern standards of comfort and hygiene.

The rapid completion of this project within just 12 weeks is a testament to the effective project management and hard work of everyone involved. The newly refurbished Unit 3 now offers an outstanding, state-of-the-art space for prospective tenants.
