Unit B2 Delivers BREEAM Excellent
Orchard is proud to announce the successful completion and certification of one of its latest projects at Unit B2, Heartlands Business Park, Daventry, which has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Delivered in partnership with Helme & Partners, the project was completed in just 20 weeks, showcasing the team’s ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable refurbishments within a tight programme. The project also achieved a “Very Good” score from the Considerate Constructors Scheme, reflecting the team’s commitment to responsible construction practices, site management, and community consideration.
The refurbishment works were extensive and focused on improving both sustainability and functionality across the building. Key upgrades included the installation of PV solar panels and EV charging points to support greener energy use and future-ready infrastructure. Significant improvements were also made to the roof and cladding, helping to enhance the building’s performance and longevity.
External works included yard improvements and the creation of new parking areas, while internally the project saw a full mechanical and electrical renewal, installation of energy-efficient LED lighting, and warehouse floor repairs to improve operational efficiency.
Additional upgrades included the refurbishment of the building’s lift and a complete transformation of the WC, office, and welfare facilities, providing modern, comfortable spaces for building occupants.
Achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating highlights the project’s strong focus on sustainability, efficiency, and quality throughout the refurbishment process.
