U2 Park Royal Delivers BREEAM ‘Very Good‘

Nucleus, Park Royal Refurbishment Achieves BREEAM “Very Good” Rating

The refurbishment of Nucleus, Park Royal (Unit 2) has achieved a BREEAM “Very Good” rating, recognising the project’s focus on sustainability, environmental performance and occupier wellbeing.

The 14,300 sq. ft. industrial unit was refurbished earlier this year, with the project delivered alongside Quartz Project Services. From the outset, sustainability and long-term building performance were key considerations, with the refurbishment designed to bring the property in line with modern standards while supporting future occupier requirements.

The successful BREEAM rating provides formal recognition of the environmental and sustainability measures incorporated throughout the project. The works were also undertaken with a focus on improving the overall quality and functionality of the building, helping to extend the asset’s useful life and enhance its appeal to future occupiers.

Alongside the sustainability objectives, the project placed a strong emphasis on occupier wellbeing and the provision of improved amenities. The refurbishment was delivered with consideration for both the immediate requirements of the building and its longer-term performance.

Achieving a BREEAM “Very Good” rating is a positive outcome for everyone involved in the project and demonstrates how carefully considered refurbishment can provide a sustainable approach to upgrading existing industrial assets.

The project team would like to thank Quartz Project Services, Encon Associates and all project partners and contractors involved for their contribution to the successful delivery of the refurbishment and the achievement of the BREEAM rating.
