General:

  • Office based at our head office.

  • 08.30-17.00

The Candidate:

  • Highly motivated individual who can organise and prioritise own work load.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Close attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills

  • Be able to work to tight deadlines and re-schedule their own tasks as required.

  • Strong IT, interpersonal and communication skills essential, with the ability to interact with all Stakeholders.  Ability to communicate/work with Senior Management Team.

  • Experience of the construction industry essential.

  • Some basic knowledge of JCT contracts and their requirements would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience of working within a medium group structure highly desirable.

  • Flexible and adaptable to working with different types of people.

  • Experience using Sage 50/Eques 2 an advantage.

  • Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Job Overview:

This opportunity is a newly created position within the Orchard Group and it is expected that the role will develop over time.  However, the core tasks are as follows:

  • Setting up new projects on the groups new contract management system.

  • Uploading core legal documents such as executed JCT’s/terms and conditions into the project management system.

  • Ensuring project job files contain everything required.

  • Assisting Contracts Managers to ensure the smooth running of sites.

  • Raise/Check purchase orders ensuring all the relevant attachments are in place.

  • Some ordering of small supplies for site items.

  • Escalate/ follow up any queries as required and in a timely manner.

  • Ad hoc administrative duties.
