Job Completion: 8-10 Airfield Way

Over the past 18 weeks, we have been completing a refurbishment of a unit in Christchurch, Dorset. The project entailed internal and external works and yard works. Completed on time, within budget and with one happy client.

Externally, we stripped an existing Asbestos roof, which came under the category of licensed work; our team, therefore, took the necessary precautions to protect each other and the general public. After safely completing the Asbestos roof strip and decontaminating the space, we installed a new roof and roof light system, creating more natural light in the warehouse.  We also reclad and added new double-glazing windows to the front of the unit. All these measures will help to improve the EPC rating of the unit creating a more sustainable building.

Internally we completed a full mechanical and electrical upgrade, including new distribution boards, rewiring and power upgrade. We also installed a new HVAC system which is vastly more energy efficient, which achieves another of our sustainability goals on our projects. Our upgrade to LED lighting panels throughout is also highly energy efficient, which, when all of these small changes are put together, internally and externally, they compound to create a highly efficient business space which goes above and beyond to emphasise sustainability within the industrial sector.
