New Project Underway: Start 2026 with a Bang at Unit 1, Valepits, Birmingham

We’re kicking off 2026 in style with an exciting new refurbishment project now underway at Unit 1, Valepits, Birmingham, working alongside JLL and Mileway. This substantial scheme will transform the existing facility, delivering modern, efficient, and future-ready space across an impressive 59,393 sq ft.

The works include the removal of the existing asbestos roof, which will be safely replaced with high-performance composite roof sheets, significantly improving durability and thermal efficiency. Internally, the building will benefit from a full M&E upgrade, including new energy-efficient LED lighting and electric heating throughout.

The project also features a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing offices and WC facilities, alongside the formation of a new WC block adjacent to the existing layout. This element of the works will involve associated drainage installations to support the new facilities.

Accessibility and safety are key priorities, with the installation of a new platform lift and the replacement of all existing fire exit doors with new metal doors, ensuring improved compliance and user safety.

Externely, the scheme includes tarmac repairs and minor groundworks, completing the upgrade and ensuring the external areas reflect the enhanced quality of the building.
