BREEAM Excellent Rating Achieved for Unit 5 Cranbrook Way, Solihull
We are delighted to announce that Unit 5, Cranbrook Way, Solihull, a 54,509 sq ft industrial facility, has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent rating, recognising the project's outstanding sustainability performance and commitment to future-ready building standards.
The comprehensive refurbishment programme transformed the asset through a series of significant structural, environmental, and aesthetic enhancements designed to improve operational efficiency, occupant wellbeing, and long-term sustainability.
Key elements of the scheme included extensive roof refurbishment works and advanced corrosion protection measures, ensuring the building's longevity while preparing the structure for the future installation of photovoltaic (PV) panels. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure was also incorporated, supporting the transition towards cleaner transportation and reducing the site's environmental impact.
The project delivered a range of energy-efficient mechanical and electrical upgrades, helping to reduce operational energy consumption and improve overall building performance. New DDA-compliant facilities were introduced to enhance accessibility and create a more inclusive environment for all users.
