Major Refurbishment Project Begins at Ripple Road, Barking – Units A & B
A significant new refurbishment project has officially commenced at Ripple Road, Barking, marking an exciting development in the ongoing transformation of the area’s industrial landscape. The project spans a substantial 64,000 square feet across Units A and B and is being delivered in collaboration with Woodfellows LLP.
Transforming Two Key Industrial Units
The comprehensive refurbishment aims to breathe new life into both buildings, ensuring they meet modern commercial standards while enhancing energy efficiency and overall appearance.
Unit A – Modernisation and Internal Upgrades
Unit A will undergo a full internal transformation, beginning with the demolition of the existing ground floor showroom area to create a more flexible and functional layout. The refurbishment includes:
Roof cleaning and repairs, installation of new roof lights, and the application of protective roof coatings
Replacement of all damaged façade panels, ensuring a refreshed external appearance
Installation of new ceiling tiles within the existing grid
New carpets to ground and first-floor offices and staircases
New vinyl flooring in all wet areas
Comprehensive redecoration throughout the unit
Overhaul of all roller shutters to doors and windows
These improvements will create bright, modern office and warehouse spaces that meet the needs of contemporary occupiers.
Unit B – Full Refurbishment and Reconfiguration
Unit B will see an even more extensive overhaul, designed to improve functionality and compliance while modernising the entire building. Works include:
Removal of the existing mezzanine floor and warehouse toilet block
Complete lighting replacement and electrical system overhaul, including the installation of a new distribution board
New suspended ceilings throughout
Construction of brand-new vitreous WC facilities, including a DDA-compliant accessible toilet
Installation of ceramic splashbacks to all WC areas
Overhaul of all roller shutters to doors and windows
The result will be a fully refurbished industrial unit with improved operational efficiency, safety, and presentation.
